Double Media Tower - Oak/ Black Review

Looks are oftentimes deceiving, and in the case of this particular media shelf, that is all too true.What you don't see is that this unit is not really made of real wood.You can't really know that you're probably going to split the "wood" when putting it together because it looks fairly sturdy from the ad.No wonder it comes with a blemish cover-up marker...

All of that aside, it's not a bad-looking piece.And it's a pretty good price for what you get.You may want to find something a little sturdier if you plan to store only DVDs on it because it is prone to tipping over easily.But it's slim and doesn't take up much space, which is good.

456 CD/DVD/VHS Cherry Finish Library Design Cabinet Review

I actually have two of these cabinets to hold my dvd's and so far I am very pleased with the quality of the product. They really look good in my office.Each drawer holds 8 regular dvd's and they fit fine and are easy to get out.This item shipped to me very quickly and came fully assembled, so all i had to do was get it out of the box.

DRAWBACKS: the drawers sometimes stick and won't close easily.The cabinets lean slightly forward but not as bad as the cheap walmart bookcases.Larger DVD cases won't fit in the drawers. For example the Star Wars Trilogy collectors thing won't fit.

Spartak Top Load Media Storage Cabinet - Oak/Black - 2362 Review

Just received this and put it together that same day.It took about 6 hours to put together, but I took lots of breaks.This is a very heavy unit and it was a lot taller than I thought it would be, it is over 3 feet tall.It has loads of storage and seems to be very useful.Not too sure I like the top load though, because I was planning on putting a lamp on top and now I can't because it opens from the top, but I guess that means less clutter also.I think this is a really nice piece and others are really interested in getting this same piece for their houses.Not enough glue was included in this set and I used the wrong glue for the wrong pieces, but it wasn't a problem.I recommend getting some extra crazy glue to finish up this piece.

Media Storage Locking Cabinet - Black Review

This was not a good product I am very disappointed with it. It tells you how many dvds it can hold. So we filled up the cabinet... doors included. But when the doors are full of dvds they dont close! they just swing open so you have to lock it everytime, which is a pain to get it locked because you have to reach behind this bar and if theres movies there then its kinda hard to do! I would NOT recommend this product!

Atlantic 22135624 Windowpane 584 CD/196 DVD/BluRay/Games Wood Cabinet with Sliding Glass Doors (Espresso) Review

The one star in this review is for the custome service we dealt with in getting our money back.

I've seen this cabinet whole and complete (we got one just like it from a different retailer that ran out after our purchase) and it is beautiful and functional.When we ordered it from Amazon.com independent retailer, it was a whole other story.

The cabinet was shipped in pieces, which wasn't a problem as it is easy to put together.The problem was it was shipped in one box with the doors touching the outside edges of the box.If they would have shipped this in its orginal box inside another box with a bit of packing, there would not have been a problem.The first time we got it, the glass was damaged as was the doors.The second time, the glass was intact, but the doors were again damaged.The problem was that the line along the bottom and top of the doors that fits into the grooves so the doors slide back and forth were split and cracked making the items unrepairable.The wood is a composit and fragile.The main casing was also scratched and dented, again from the lack of proper packing.

In conclusion, if you can find this cabinet locally, go for it --its very nice.If you need to order it from anywhere, I would be wary and probably shy away from it.One wrong shift in packing and this thing is done for.
