456 CD/DVD/VHS Cherry Finish Library Design Cabinet Review

I actually have two of these cabinets to hold my dvd's and so far I am very pleased with the quality of the product. They really look good in my office.Each drawer holds 8 regular dvd's and they fit fine and are easy to get out.This item shipped to me very quickly and came fully assembled, so all i had to do was get it out of the box.

DRAWBACKS: the drawers sometimes stick and won't close easily.The cabinets lean slightly forward but not as bad as the cheap walmart bookcases.Larger DVD cases won't fit in the drawers. For example the Star Wars Trilogy collectors thing won't fit.

Bush Napa Entertainment Audio Tower Rack Cabinet Review

Well, I had one of those pressed-wood entertainment center things with the plastic wood grain. So when I moved my things, they all stayed in an unheated storage room for a few extra years there. Then I got a new apartment and could finally set up my big component system that I was building up a piece at a time, and this Bush rack seemed like just what I wanted, at a lot better price than the ones in the audio wishbook.

When it came I assembled it in one evening and put all the stereo gear in it and I found out my Vincent sp-331 power amp is about an inch too long to use the cabinet with the door on, but it looks ok with it left off though, and someday I might alter the back a little bit to get that extra space at the bottom, and maybe a little fan then because of all the heat that thing puts out.

I gave that huge Sauder thing to Goodwill.

Contemporary Espresso Finish CD & DVD Storage Cabinet Review

We bought this piece to streamline the look of our living room and I believe it's done just that.It has a modern/classic look and LOTS of storage room.So far we stored our DVD collection (~100 dvds) and the VHS's we're holding on to (~30), plus a few other random pieces (extra remotes, screen cleaning supplies etc) and there's still a TON of room for addition.For us, this was a great buy.BEWARE however, if you are not so handy (like my wonderful husband is) this takes ALOT of do it yourself, put together the million little pieces they send you in the box.I suspect that it would be easy to come out with the doors looking lopsided etc if the construction isn't done perfectly.Also, the design is slightly flawed in that there are obvious screws showing on the side where the shelves are held in place.Not a big deal-breaker for me, but thought I'd let you know.

Atlantic 22135624 Windowpane 584 CD/196 DVD/BluRay/Games Wood Cabinet with Sliding Glass Doors (Espresso) Review

The one star in this review is for the custome service we dealt with in getting our money back.

I've seen this cabinet whole and complete (we got one just like it from a different retailer that ran out after our purchase) and it is beautiful and functional.When we ordered it from Amazon.com independent retailer, it was a whole other story.

The cabinet was shipped in pieces, which wasn't a problem as it is easy to put together.The problem was it was shipped in one box with the doors touching the outside edges of the box.If they would have shipped this in its orginal box inside another box with a bit of packing, there would not have been a problem.The first time we got it, the glass was damaged as was the doors.The second time, the glass was intact, but the doors were again damaged.The problem was that the line along the bottom and top of the doors that fits into the grooves so the doors slide back and forth were split and cracked making the items unrepairable.The wood is a composit and fragile.The main casing was also scratched and dented, again from the lack of proper packing.

In conclusion, if you can find this cabinet locally, go for it --its very nice.If you need to order it from anywhere, I would be wary and probably shy away from it.One wrong shift in packing and this thing is done for.

I bought this to replace a cheap audio stand and I am so pleased with this.It looks so nice and expensive and the wood matches all my furniture.My husband was really suprised when he went to put it together to find out that it was actually real wood.It was a little difficult to put together, I wouldnt have been able to do it myself, but I am really happy with this purchase.It made it even better to get free shipping through Amazon.com.Another great experience with Amazon.Well after having this and using it for 6 months the drawer came apart and wasnt able to be fixed.We called and ordered the replacement parts but they never showed up.My husband had to repair it himself with alternative methods.So it looks nice but the drawer is not GREAT, very cheap design.

Bush Furniture Stanford Audio Cabinet, Antique Black/Hansen Cherry Review

The product arrived, and took me about an hour to finally assemble.

Problems:

1. The stand itself is a bit shaky, and can only take 50lbs of weight per shelf.My Onkyo 805 receiver is 61 lbs.. I placed it on the lowest level, and crossing my finger that it works

2. With the receiver inside, the door won't close..(problem to many, but not to me because...)

3. The door was completely broken when it arrived.The frame separated from the glass. i had to buy glue and glue the two together myself.After 2 more hours of doing that, and fiddling with it, i gave up and threw the door away.Now i have an open cabinet, with the receiver sticking out.

4. Complicated to assemble.probably the most annoying assembly i've ever done with respect to furniture.

Positives:
1. doesn't look too bad.without the door it's still useable.

Sorry Bush.. the quality control is not acceptable.

Winsome Wood CD/DVD Cabinet with Glass Doors, Antique Walnut Review

I bought this cabinet and I'm somewhat dissatisfied.
The assembly is not complicated, it uses bolts with cam locks.

PRO's: Finish, color, enclosed to keep dust out.

CON's: poor door hinge design; it's too small and spacing for DVD's is very restrictive.
The doors do not close evenly and make contact with the shelving.
DVD space is lost because of the top door magnets.

Summary: nice looks but lack of spacing between DVD/shelves and doors causes problems with proper clsosing. Everything is very tightly packed.
