We bought three of these cabinets. The first two were fine, but the third one was nothing but trouble. Pieces fell off of it as we removed it from the box: The manufacturer-applied glue failed so one of the strips of wood that was glued to the main piece fell off. A couple of small wood pieces had also broken off near the edges, either during packaging or shipping. Rather than face the hassle and shipping costs of returning something this size, we decided to make do with epoxy. Next day, after the epoxy had set, we continued the assembly. But while sliding the back of the cabinet into the grooves (as per the instructions), we found it wouldn't fit. This was not in an area that would have been affected by our gluing pieces back on. We had to file the edge of the cabinet down in order to finish the assembly.
It took more time to assemble the 3rd cabinet than it took us to assemble the 1st and 2nd cabinets combined, even without counting the epoxy drying time. And now that it's assembled, I notice the seams don't quite meet under the door on the right side -- There is a 1/16 inch gap. I'm starting to wish we'd sent it back when we first found the broken off pieces, because it will never look quite right.
The other two cabinets have been great, only needing handles to make them look complete. But since we have these cabinets wall mounted at shoulder height, that gap on the 3rd cabinet is always going to remind me of what a hassle it was to put together.
