This island matched a cabinet I already had so I was very excited to find it.Shipping was very slow. It was a bit difficult to assemble but I am lucky to have a very handy husband.Unfortunatly it did arrive damaged. There was a large chip on the top and one on the drawer front.I contacted the seller "Home Store Galore" and was told to send the part numbers and they would replace.My husband was able to minimize the damage on the top but we did need a new drawer front. I sent the part number to the seller
but dispite multiple emails to them I never recieved the part.

Tall Microwave Cabinet - Cherry Review

I first saw this product on another major retailer's website for $199 so I was excited to see it here cheaper. I did read the reviews on the competitor's website and they were mostly negative so I was prepared that this product may less-than-perfect.

Yes, it is a tad bit flimsy. As you progress putting it together it does seem to come together but it still wobbles when you finally stand it up like Grandma Franny after a few-too-many mimosas. I've read other reviewers say they had better success buying some brackets to reinforce the entire unit. That's our plan for tomorrow. We've already hit the home improvement store once today to buy new cam connectors. Do yourself a favor, count the cams and then go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy House-Mates 15mm x14mm Cam Connectors to replace the ones that come with the unit. The ones that come with the unit cheap and they break when you're trying to screw the cam screw into them. We should have just replaced all of them and saved ourselves some trouble.

While I'm talking like I put it together myself, I was just the cheerleader and the "hold-it" girl. My husband is the put-it-together-er.Yes folks, there was a lot of swearing involved so if you're anything like my husband, have the children head over to a friend's house to play while you're putting it together so they don't learn some new "colorful" language. There was a minimal amount of tool-chucking, though, so it wasn't as bad as some projects my husband has had to undertake.

Overall, I like the look of the unit, it's tall and comes with plenty of storage room. I like the glass doors that cover the top shelf of the cabinet. I didn't have a problem with any damaged pieces until we attempted to put the back on the unit; one nail managed to splice the facing board on the microwave shelf and split the particle board where it meets the cam connector. Hello Super Glue and since the microwave will cover that area, it should be fine. Just use some caution when you're nailing the back cardboard (pretty thin) onto the back of the unit.

By the way, the box this comes in is really heavy. Luckily my husband was home when UPS delivered it or it would have sat outside on my porch until he could come home and move it. I would have never gotten it into the house on my own.

Ameriwood Expert Plum 2-Door Storage Cabinet Review

Not worth the money! Mine arrived with lots of chips and dings on the edges of the panels. This is not a very sturdy cabinet and won't last long. If this cabinet only cost $50, it still wouldn't be worth it.

Prepac Elite Collection 32" Base with 2 doors Review

Solid construction. The countertop is thick and can handle a lot of weight. My only major complaint is that it does not come with a back wall. Another annoying thing is that you have to drill the holes for the door handles. Doors can have a handle on a left or right side, so they are predrilled from the inside on the both sides. However, the holes do not go completely through the door. if you are not carefull with a drill, you can messup the outside of the door.

I had a friend put this together for me and I was thrilled when he was finished.It's a solid cart with such a nice look.I have a big, heavy microwave oven and this cart doesn't feel like it's too flimsy to support the weight.I also love the cabinet space and drawer where I keep microwave oven related things.(directions for cooking in the oven and microwve recipe books in the drawer and in the cabinet, covers for dishes used in cooking in the oven.)I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, firm piece of furniture for your kitchen.

White Buffet Review

Target.com was actually selling this one for awhile (I ended up buying mine through Creative Interiors anyways though - it was less expensive, even with shipping.)

At one time, I do recall that this Buffet was advertised as having a Butcher Block Top (which now 'more accurately reads' Butcher Block Top Look.)It was for this reason alone that I initially made the purchase, but thank goodness I did.Had I known up front that I wasn't getting Butcher Block, I would have never given this Buffet a chance.

If you have a small Kitchen or are in need of some additional storage space - this is something I would recommend hands down.For the price, you get a piece of furniture that looks like it's worth far more than it is ($150 is nothing for a buffet.)

In the large cabinets, you'll get adjustable wooden shelves.Very sturdy and great for storing away kitchen appliances.I manage to fit my bread pans, dual sized toaster, George Forman, Crockpot, cutting board, my large braising pan, blender and beater - with some room to spare.The smaller cabinet to the right fits my large Tupperware (that I store dry rice in) and my rice cooker - again with room to spare.I keep a small tool box in one of the drawers, and the other drawer is just a collection of odds and ends.

Again... as the top is not real Butcher Block, don't get any ideas about slicing and dicing fruits and vegetables on it.However, it does do a great job of simulating real Butcher Block (which matches the Butcher Block trim on my counter tops), and it's easy to dress up with a decorative bowl filled with fruits.The back of the buffet is pressboard (keep it up against a wall, no one will know), and the drawer runners are made of plastic (which concerned me at first, but they manage just fine.)

Assembly is required.You'll need a screwdriver, hammer and some patience.I'm 105 pounds and managed to wiggle walk this up my front porch and into my family room on my own (heavy box), and had it fully assembled in about 2 1/2 hours.It would probably take less time with an electric screwdriver (and save you a blister or two.)Takes awhile to get the cabinet doors to properly align (hinges offer a lot of tweaking room) - but they'll line up fine if you're diligent.

By far - the best piece of inexpensive furniture I have ever owned.

Wood Top Natural Kitchen Cart with Breakfast Bar Review

I purchased one of these a couple of years ago. It has provided much more than I could have asked for the price paid.

My kitchen is rather small with little work space. I needed a place to knead bread and do other things but also needed it to roll out of the way when not needed. This island turned out to be perfect. It does require a bit of assembly. Took me about 90 minutes. The result was a handsome & functional island in unfinished rubberwood. You can finish it with most stains or wood finishes but I would recommend leaving the countertop unfinished. More sanitary & easier to keep clean. (Yes, handled properly, wood is every bit as sanitary as plastic, stone, or metal. Keep ALL liquids off of it!)

It's sturdy enough for hard kitchen use. I have pounded meat on it (on a cutting board) and beat bread dough to death. I have also used it as an impromptu breakfast bar & even rolled it onto the patio to use as a dry bar once. Worked wonderfully. But it really shines as a place to slice. dice, chop & mix. And it's the best bread board I've ever had. (NOTE: DO NOT USE A KNIFE ON THE WOOD!! Put a cutting board down to protect the surface.) It even holds 3 separate, operating machines (bread machine, slow cooker, & my large Kitchen-Aid stand mixer)& still leaves a good working area. The back leaf folds down & reduces the storage space when you need to roll it out of the way.

The only shortcomings (and they are minor) is the depth of the storage. The cabinets are not deep enough to store large pans. Youcan get two 1 gal. water/milk jugs back to back & that's about it. Also the drawers are too short & too shallow to store long items like ladles, cooking spoons, & butcher knives. A silverware tray won't fit. Also when assembling, stagger the 2 lockable wheels on opposite corners. Otherwise the island will pivot when pushed.

If you need working space for a small kitchen & don't want spend big bucks, this is the island to buy. After seeing mine & how I use it, several friends bought one too.

Pantry Storage Cabinet - White Review

I purchased this cabinet to replace a four-shelf, metal open unit. It arrived earlier than anticipated. Very sturdy box for shipping; nicely reinforced at the edges. The unit assembly was quick, and all parts were included (even a few extra screws and nails!). I found some damage to a few of the edges, perhaps from the packaging process. But not enough to warrant returning it. One of the shelves has a permanent location; the other two have some adjustment options. I was disappointed that the unit itself wobbled when moving it from the living room (where we assembled it) to the kitchen (where we're using it). But now that it's in place, it is quite functional. The shelves are significantly less deep than the frame. Overall, it's not as good a buy as a Sauder item would be (the other source for our self-assembled furniture), but still a pretty nice value for the price.

Linen Cabinet Review

Overall, I am pretty happy with this cabinet.It looks very nice in my bathroom and it is pretty solid.The thing I didn't care for is that the instructions could use a bit of work.I have put together a TON of pre-pack furniture yet I struggled with this one a bit, including putting a few pieces on backwards because the instructions were unclear.Also, the assembly of this cabinet requires wood glue and it is NOT included.Once you make your way through the poor instructions, the cabinet itself is great.I ended up keeping towels in the bottom of the cabinet and discovered that if I removed the shelf I could fit nearly 20 nice fluffy towels in there.

One downside that I imagine was unique to mine is that one of the door pulls for mine was stripped out.I ended up hot gluing it to the door and it seems to work fine now.

If I were looking for another bathroom cabinet I would probably buy this one again.

Catskill Craftsmen Double Door Kitchen Cabinet, White Review

The cabinet shipped and arrived pretty quickly.It was not difficult to put together - you probably want to have an electric screwdriver though.

When I first put the very bottom shelf in (made of something cheap like particleboard), I was worried that it seemed too flimsy, and it didn't seem to fit very well at first.However when I put it all together the bottom fit fine, and doesn't seem to be too flimsy after all.The rest was cake.

The piece looks nice in my kitchen and doesn't take up too much space, which is great 'cuz my kitchen is pretty tiny.The top is big enough to fit my toaster-oven, and the shelves hold a good amount of stuff.The doors fit on the piece well and open and close with ease.

All in all, a good buy!
