We have a 1 year old and we needed a DVD shelf that closed.I found this one online and the reviews were mixed so we went ahead and ordered it.We should have listened to the bad reviews.For the price it is not worth it.Pros:
1. It was fairly easy to put together
2. Once it is all finished it does look nice
Cons:
1. There was not a step that we did that there was not a piece scuffed or scratched.Apparently they knew this was an issue because they sent a black marker to fix them.
2. The top was chipped when we got it and one of the adjustable shelves was broken and unusable (they are supposed to be sending us replacements)
3. It is very wobbly!Even with the back on (which is supposed to make it sturdy) it wobbles from side to side.
4. When we hammered in the nails on the back it cracked the top shelf.
5. Once you put DVDs on the top shelf it is hard to open the left side
6. The pre-drilled holes made a huge mess.There was wood all in them.I had to vacuum them out, but they still made a horrible mess.
7. The thing to attach it to the wall was not good.If we would have used the one they sent we wouldn't have been able to put it flush with the wall
8. Fingerprints show up horribly.However, they do wipe off with windex.
