This light was not as strong as I thought it would be. I bought it to help start my seeds indoors and it is just too small and throws off very little heat. It would be perfect for a small light under kitchen cabinets or to light a small closet. Just not what I expected. Oh well :c)

Awesome light. Very easy to mount. I have it over my laptop work area and it is perfect.
Mounts under a cabinet perfectly. I used one screwdriver, read and followed the obvious instructions and 'wal-la' the light was mounted and working in less than 5 minutes. The primary powercord is something like 4 feet long and the attachment cord (that allows the connecting of more than one light in a row) is about 12 inches or so.
This little light puts out far more light than I expected from a small 12 1/2 inch light.
The light produced has a yellowish hue to it that helps, I think, to not only increase the perceived brightness but if you have never tried to work under a bright-white light then you need to know that it can be bothersome. After long hours the bright-white starts to 'wear' on the eyes--something like snow on a bright day--white paper appears very bright and causes me to have a headache.
This off-white may not be what someone would want for a presentation shelf or something but it is perfect for a worklight.

Purchased 3 for an under counter light in the garage.Worked great for one month.Construction was fine, function was fine.Interconnet wire a nice feature.Met all expectations.However, after several uses one of the three lights stopped working.Not sure of the root problem.Poor quality if the life expectancy is less the two months.

You've seen them in restaurants and theaters--those tubes full of lights proprietors use to mark stair edges and other potential hazards that might be fallen down or tripped over in dim light. That's not to say that Good Earth Lighting's rope lighting products can only be used in public venues--you could use them as funky accent lighting in a living room, party lighting, or to outline a path in your backyard.
The key to using these lights to full effect is mounting them securely, and everything you need in order to do this is included in the hardware kit, which contains mounting clips, cable ties, and screws. These lights use an electronic ballast that is less than perfect.I use them in jewelry cases, and about 25% of them fail within 6 months.Also, the "non-yellowing" lens is not true, the heat yellows the plastic lens fairly quickly.Replacement bulbs will run about $8 to $10 with shipping, so it's almost better to toss the entire unit and replace it when the bulbs go.Still cheaper than halogen lighting, but don't buy it unless you're able to replace it easily.

American Lighting 044-12-BS Under Cabinet Puck Lighting Kit, 20-Watt Xenon Lamp, Brushed Steel Review

Although this product is described as an "under cabinet" fixture, it has a dual design that allows it to be used as recessed, in-cabinet lighting as well. The mounting shell can be removed, leaving a lamp housing with a flush-mount trim ring. It is then a simple matter to cut a hole and push the mount up and in.

This fixture produces a pleasing light with great color fidelity. In our application, it is mounted in a kitchen corner cabinet with glass front and glass shelves, holding wine glasses and other transparent pieces. The pair of fixtures in the cabinet provides even light. The lens has just enough of a matte finish to avoid a glare in the viewer's eyes.

In our application this fixture is connected to a dimmer, and this also works flawlessly. Note well that you need to purchase a transformer separately--this "steps down" your local line voltage to the 12 volt current needed by the fixture. A small, "hard-wire" transformer mounted in the attic above the cabinet did the trick for us. (Electrical codes may require that the transformer and any wire splices be accessible. Since the area above our cabinet is not accessible, we needed to install in this manner.) You should ensure that the transformer has enough capacity--for our pair of fixtures, it needed to supply 50 watts including a safety margin--and that it is compatible with dimmers if you want your light dimmable.
